Rojo does it different

This Blog is gonna be different.I am an independent thinker and many of my ideas are not shared by the Pretty people, so be it. You are going to meet some interesting people, see some interesting places and with a bit of luck I will be able to bring a smile to your face ever now and then. Rojo

WHAT BETTER TIME TO START A STORY ABOUT MY SWEETHEART THAN SWEETHEARTS DAY

I AM GOING TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT....... If you believe that I also have a gold mine for sale in Cuba.
I am going to write about my favorite subject,Jeanie, and since  my Blog is just about 6 weeks old I will tell you a little about how we met and the obstacles we had to overcome to get us were we wanted to be. This series will have about as many side tracks as a train load of octopus, has arms but that is the only way I know how to tell the story.

This story has been kicking around , off and on, between my ears since April 2006. I just didn't know how I wanted to tell it and I don't even remember hearing the word Blog back then. What I did know is that the story was  like a backward fork in the road. Instead of one road forking in to two roads ,it was two roads becoming one road.

Here is how the story came to my mind. We had started  on our "Route 66 in 06" trip. We stopped at Hackberry,AZ at the Hackberry General Store for a cold Route 66 Root Beer and to take a few pic of this neat place. http://hackberrygeneralstore.com/

Off to the side of the store was an old display car. LIGHTING STRIKES, THE BULB CAME ON or some such thing. I went over to Jeanie's bottle and got a bungee cord. I knew I had a yellow one but I could only find a black one . I took it back over to the old car and hook it on the bumper. I ask Jeanie to back her wheel chair up to the cord.... BINGO "Jeanie's light and Heavy duty towing service" was born. When we visited the Route 66 museum in Kingman I had taken a pic of Jeanie setting in  Coyote 7 in front of a locomotive.

Tomorrow we will start off with Jeanie's fork of the road, which will start in 1955. My fork of the road will start in 2001. When those roads came together is where the fun begins.
I plan to have a great day ,I hope you will join me.

  1. I hope Jeanie got the majority of the towing fee seeings how she did the bulk of the towing. That gal is a heavy duty towing operator all right. Reminds me of a similar saying....."It ain't heavy, it's my train locomotive!!"
